Inside America's Forgotten Coast

Inside America's Forgotten Coast

This week’s video takes us along one of the most unspoiled coastlines in America, the Forgotten Coast.

We had one day to explore 80 miles of small towns, empty beaches, seafood history, old Florida charm, and the kind of places that still feel like they belong to the people who built them.

We started in Carrabelle, where we found the world’s smallest police station, met locals who remember when the seafood industry was booming, and quickly realized this stretch of Florida still feels like stepping back in time.

What surprised us most wasn’t just how beautiful this place is. It was how much history, culture, and local pride still live here — and how fragile that feels as more people start to discover it.

This one really feels like the heart of Unique America: not just seeing a place, but experiencing it through the people, food, stories, and landscapes that make it worth remembering.

We hope this video inspires you to slow down, take the back roads, and go make a memory somewhere that still feels a little untouched.

Big thank you to Poncho Outdoors for making this adventure possible. Cole wore their shirts all throughout this Texas trip, and honestly, they were perfect for long, hot days outside — lightweight, breathable, comfortable, and easy to move in whether we were out in the field or in town. Check out Cole's favorite picks here. Enter your email for $10 off your first order (get a great looking shirt and it helps support us, too!)

Go make the memory,
Cole & Emily

Inside America's SINKING Town (Before It Disappears) Hey there Reader, There’s a tiny community in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay with no bridge to the mainland, a mail boat that delivers many of life’s necessities, and water that is never far from anyone’s front door. Tangier Island has already lost much of its land. Entire communities that once stood nearby are now underwater. But despite the shoreline moving closer, the people who call Tangier home are still fighting to remain. We flew...

Inside America's Infamous Retirement Community Hey there Reader, This week, we’re taking you inside one of the most talked about places in America: The Villages, Florida. If you’ve heard of The Villages, you’ve probably heard the rumors. Golf carts everywhere. Wild stories. A retirement community that people either seem to love, judge, or completely misunderstand. So we decided to spend a day there and see what life is actually like on the other side but what surprised us most wasn’t the golf...

Inside America's Rarest Honey Harvest Hey Reader, This week’s video started with one jar of honey. While filming along Florida’s Forgotten Coast, we picked up a jar of Tupelo honey and immediately understood why people talk about it differently. It didn’t taste like any honey we’d ever had. That jar led us to Wewahitchka, Florida, where America’s rarest honey harvest happens for only a tiny window each spring. The Tupelo bloom lasts about two weeks, and everything has to line up perfectly. So...
