Inside America's Rarest Honey Harvest

This week’s video started with one jar of honey.

While filming along Florida’s Forgotten Coast, we picked up a jar of Tupelo honey and immediately understood why people talk about it differently. It didn’t taste like any honey we’d ever had.

That jar led us to Wewahitchka, Florida, where America’s rarest honey harvest happens for only a tiny window each spring.

The Tupelo bloom lasts about two weeks, and everything has to line up perfectly.

So we came back to follow the process from bloom to bottle.

We tasted the bloom, stepped into a field full of bees, pulled honey from the hives, tasted it straight from the comb, and followed it into the honey house where it became the final product.

But what we found was so much bigger than honey.
