Inside America's Most Isolated Swamp Town

Inside America's Most Isolated Swamp Town

Happy Saturday Reader!

We just stepped foot in a place that honestly felt like it shouldn’t exist.

A tiny town… sitting on an island built entirely out of shell… surrounded by swamp in every direction.

No highways.
No crowds.
Just history, silence, and a man who has lived there his entire life and knows stories you’d never believe if you heard them out of context.

While we were filming, there were moments where it felt peaceful… and other moments where it felt unsettling. Like we were walking through a chapter of America that most people will never see.

Places like this make us realize how much of our country is still hidden in plain sight.

This is one of those stories.

We think you’re going to feel something while watching this one.

Inside America's Forgotten Coast This week’s video takes us along one of the most unspoiled coastlines in America, the Forgotten Coast. We had one day to explore 80 miles of small towns, empty beaches, seafood history, old Florida charm, and the kind of places that still feel like they belong to the people who built them. We started in Carrabelle, where we found the world’s smallest police station, met locals who remember when the seafood industry was booming, and quickly realized this...

Inside The Town That Summons Worms From The Ground We thought we were just going fishing but instead we ended up deep in the Florida Panhandle chasing a 100-year-old tradition that almost no one is still doing. It’s called worm grunting — and it looks like magic when worms starting coming out of the ground. But when we got into town, everything started falling apart. Our experts canceled and no one wanted to take us. What followed was one of the most unexpected, hands-on, and honestly wild...

Inside The World's Largest Rattlesnake Roundup We spent 48 hours inside a small Texas town where thousands of rattlesnakes are brought in every year… and what we found was way bigger than we expected. Sweetwater, Texas is home to the World’s Largest Rattlesnake Roundup — a tradition that’s been around for decades and one that sparks a lot of strong opinions. From hunting rattlesnakes in the Texas wild, to stepping inside the snake pit, to experiencing the people and community that keep this...
