We Found Flowers In The HOTTEST Place On EARTH

We Found Flowers In The HOTTEST Place On EARTH

Death Valley didn’t feel like a place where anything should be alive.

We came out chasing the superbloom—something that only happens about once every decade. And for most of the trip… it felt like we missed it.

Two days of exploring, early mornings, miles of desert—and nothing.

Until one turn changed everything. We finally found it.

Not just a few flowers—but an entire stretch of desert covered in color. And honestly, it meant more because we weren’t sure it was ever going to happen.

We captured the whole experience in our latest video. You can watch by clicking the button below.

Death Valley is huge, and having flexibility makes all the difference. We used Turo to pick up a car right at the Vegas airport, which made it super easy to explore without a strict plan.

If Death Valley has been on your list, we put together a free 2-day travel guide to help you plan the trip for yourself. It includes the route we’d recommend, the stops that felt most worth it, and a simple starting point if you want to experience it without feeling overwhelmed.

Thank you for being here,

Emily

Reader, a few spots still open for our last sailing trip

Yes you read that right.

For nearly three years, the ocean was our home.

We woke up in quiet anchorages, explored islands you can’t reach by road, and shared some of the most unforgettable adventures of our lives—and many of you have been here the entire journey.

But as our channel has shifted to our new focus (Unique America), we’re not sure when (or if) we’ll host another sailing trip again.

That’s why Cruise with the Crews – Exumas 2026 feels especially meaningful.

In May of 2026, we’ll be setting sail to explore the turquoise waters, white-sand beaches, and hidden gems of the Exumas, Bahamas.

From snorkeling vibrant reefs and swimming with sea turtles to beach picnics, island hopping, and sunset dinners on deck, this is your chance to experience the magic of boat life firsthand.

And like every Cruise with the Crews trip, the best part is the people—adventurers who show up as strangers and leave feeling like lifelong friends.

If sailing the Exumas with us has ever been on your bucket list, this might be the moment.

You’ve watched our adventures… now it’s your turn to live one.

Inside America's SINKING Town (Before It Disappears) Hey there Reader, There’s a tiny community in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay with no bridge to the mainland, a mail boat that delivers many of life’s necessities, and water that is never far from anyone’s front door. Tangier Island has already lost much of its land. Entire communities that once stood nearby are now underwater. But despite the shoreline moving closer, the people who call Tangier home are still fighting to remain. We flew...

Inside America's Infamous Retirement Community Hey there Reader, This week, we’re taking you inside one of the most talked about places in America: The Villages, Florida. If you’ve heard of The Villages, you’ve probably heard the rumors. Golf carts everywhere. Wild stories. A retirement community that people either seem to love, judge, or completely misunderstand. So we decided to spend a day there and see what life is actually like on the other side but what surprised us most wasn’t the golf...

Inside America's Rarest Honey Harvest Hey Reader, This week’s video started with one jar of honey. While filming along Florida’s Forgotten Coast, we picked up a jar of Tupelo honey and immediately understood why people talk about it differently. It didn’t taste like any honey we’d ever had. That jar led us to Wewahitchka, Florida, where America’s rarest honey harvest happens for only a tiny window each spring. The Tupelo bloom lasts about two weeks, and everything has to line up perfectly. So...
